I fell well supported by all my trainers. The staff are fabulous. I was offered a casual position at the completion of my work placement. It has been awesome to continue working with the organisation and residents who I had build a rapport with.

A big thank you to the the team. The whole experience has been absolutly amazing. I have loved every single moment. Everyone I have spoken to and dealt with have been wonderfully helpful and supportive. A special mention to my trainer Tracey. She was amazing. Nothing was ever too much for her. Her ability to adapt to our individual needs was exceptional.

I made a decision to change my career at age 63 years! and am very happy that I did. I really appreciated the support and encouragement I received throughout the course. I highly recommend Care Academy. They are all very professional and positive in their fields. Since I finished I have secured a position in Community Health!

The training provided by Care Academy is the most currently practiced knowledge in the industry. They have successfully demonstrated their knowledge and support of person centred care and continuing changes within the industry to allow our elderly to be looked after with dignity, respect and compassion.

I contacted a few centres when making my initial inquiries into courses available on the Sunshine Coast. Whilst most centres provided similar course structures and pricing, it was the prompt and personal service in providing additional information I received from Terri and Caity that sealed my decision to enroll with Care Academy. I enjoyed learning from trainers who were currently employed within the industry and the personal experience situations they wove into the factual learning side of the course.

From the very start Care Academy impressed me with their professionalism and friendliness. All the trainers were very knowledgeable as they all work within the industry and were very approachable at all times. Care Academy is already a step above the rest recommending seminars, attending to our placement and those of us who wanted to attended a mortuary. During my placement and once completed Care Academy stayed in contact with me until I was successful in finding employment.

It was daunting at first as I wasn’t sure if I could do it but after meeting the trainers and other students I felt at ease. All the trainers were amazing and very supportive. I’m glad I didn’t go anywhere else.

It was very daunting in the start and I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But after meeting the ladies & my teachers, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was at ease. Placement was enjoyable, very interesting and I loved the residents.

I found the course to be very concise and covered a broad range of subjects. Instructors were extremely helpful, explained things in a way that was easy to understand and guided me through the course. I had heard how Care Academy were an excellent training provider for the Disability and Aged Care sectors so when it came to gaining my qualification in these fields, it a “no brainer”. Through the professionalism of office staff and the dedication of the trainers, I have successfully gained my Certificate 3 and secured employment from my Vocational Placement.

Feeling like a change of direction in life can be somewhat daunting, but the rewards within yourself is amazing! Taking that first step into making my transition was made so much easier once I found Care Academy. The course covered everything needed for a Cert III, but also gave the opportunity to do dual courses too. Being able to have Government funding meant the course was so much cheaper, and also being a 12 week course, I would be qualified sooner. Without these essential parts my transition would have not been possible, so I was truly grateful. They not only teach you the ‘need to knows’ but the insights and stories of their experience in my mind, created the visions of what I was to expect. I highly recommend Care Academy and I feel so lucky to have chosen such an amazing place to do my course, I had fantastic results and through my placement, I have found a job within Home and Community.

I have always dreamed of doing Aged Care and Care Academy helped me do that. Not only did I enjoy the course, I met some lovely people who I call friends now. My career change has opened up a whole new world for me and I am continuing my journey.

I was lucky I chose Care Academy for my Certificate III as all office staff Ruth, Erica and Caity, and teachers Tracy and Helen were wonderful, supportive, always happy to share their knowledge. I was also lucky as I received Certificate III Guarantee Funding so I didn’t have to pay the full amount making it financially possible for me to do the course. I found Care Academy to be very professional and dedicated to teaching how to provide the support and care that is vital in assisting the elderly, ill or disabled clients in the community, or in residential care. I am now working as a personal carer in the community and find it a very rewarding career and positive experience.

The time frame completing the study suited me because I didn’t compromise my quality of training / learning while completing as soon as possible. Having all placement organised by Care Academy was a real time saver and relief. Management and Teachers were friendly, helpful and fun. Classes weren’t too big so students had time to ask questions.Thanks to the Certificate 3 Gurantee I was able to afford to do this course to help me to get a qualification leading to employment. I enjoyed my study and would and will recommend to anyone looking to get into the industry.

I joined this Certificate III in Aged Care course 1 month after coming to Australia from Nepal. I am happy to have made this decision and chose to study in the Academy among others as I have has warm and friendly staff and trainers guiding me from beginning to the end. They valued our suggestions as to deciding our placement area and also prepared us to get employed through a class on writing CV’s, facing interviewers and so on.

As a University educator myself for the past 25 years I am keenly aware of how much richer the higher education experience can be when individual support feedback and counseling is offered as part of the formal learning experience. Unfortunately, as my faculty was the largest law school in Australia, I have never had the privilege to be part of such an experience myself, until now – seeing your team in action.

From my first phone call till the end of completing my Cert III in Aged Care all the trainers and staff at Daisy Learning have made the entire learning process enjoyable and not so daunting changing careers. Once out on placement I now know I have chosen the right path and love my new career choice.
